Countless hand-cut pieces of Abalone and Mother-of-Pearl adorn the front of this guitar in another classic look. Inspired by that wonderful English Luthier that was Teye’s friend and mentor, the Teye ‘La Perla’ takes things several steps further in looks, playability, and Tone.
This guitar will not be ignored, neither in appearance nor in sound. Like a truly beautiful woman, she immediately commands the room with her presence wherever she goes.
The ‘La Perla’ is now being offered in four versions:
- ‘La Perla Joya’: Abalone and Mother-of-Pearl adorned top; the finest spalted black Korina body with matched Walnut neck; Bedouin fingerboard inlay; full Custom-Plus engraving all around, full Teye-dragon engraving on the rear plate. $ 22,000
- ‘La Perlita’: Abalone and Mother-of-Pearl adorned top; Teye’s normal A-series engraving on all front plates; modestly engraved rear plate; 3-piece rear inlay $ 15,000
- S-series Custom Plus ‘La Perla’: Abalone and Mother-of-Pearl adorned top; laser-etched body and head plates; hand-made A-series Teye bridge and unitary pick-up ring. $ 10,500
