Middle Pickup

.

In order to acquire all sounds as described from your guitar, the pickups should be adjusted as follows:

  • Bridge pickup: as close as it wants to go to the strings without rattle or buzz. This is usually .05 inch measured between center of pickup and the outside E strings.
  • Neck pickup: same, except here a good distance would be about .09 inch.
  • Middle pickup: about .15 inch between center of pickup and the two outside E-strings.

You are of course free to put the pick-ups where you want them. But the ‘sounds-as-advertised’ are only guaranteed at the pickup adjustments outlined here.
