Special Request Guitars
Policy on Special Request instruments:
A special request instrument cannot be offered to another customer.
- Special Request guitars must be paid in full before I start on the ’special request’ part.
- Returns of Special Request guitars are bound by very specific rules. If you wish to return you Special Request guitar, please observe the following:
- I must sell the Special Request guitar before I can refund your money – no exceptions to this rule;
- I may have to sell the guitar at a discount. This will be agreed upon with you before I do so.
- Any out-of-the-ordinary special engraving (personal symbols; names etc), any different color scheme, different neck specs, and also a Left Handed instrument, are all considered Special Request guitars.
BUT: I will gladly make you your special dream guitar!!! And: so far so good: all customers have been very happy with their special guitars.
Left Handed Guitars
Left-handed guitars of all series and all models- are available at no additional cost. The Lefties are, as we have found out the hard way, not simply Righties built ‘the other way around’: they require a lot of extra attention, although we now do have the jigs in place. I however don’t believe in the different treatment of non-majority players (as immigrant-turned-citizen I should know) so prices of my Lefties will always be the same as the Righties, without the dreaded 15% mark-up.
That said, a ‘leftie’ IS a ’special request’ guitar, as such it must be paid in full before construction and is, with certain exceptions, non-refundable. Please e-mail or call me to discuss the full details.
The wait time for a Leftie is more than the wait time for a Rightie, simply because they take longer to make.
One more thing: my Left-handed guitars can be ordered with Left Hand or Right Hand pots: it’s just what feels more familiar to you, what you are used to.
