Premature Cancellation

A pre-mature cancellation/retraction from the wait list is only accepted under the following terms:

• The Gypsy Guitar Corporation will accept retractions and refund deposits at its sole discretion;
• Any refunds will be paid at such time and moment as it is possible for the Gypsy Guitar Corporation to do this: this will almost certainly not be immediate;
• If the original customer decides to retract from the wait list before the guitar goes under construction, the Gypsy Guitar Corporation will refund the original deposit minus up to 20% of the original deposit for the work involved;
• If the original customer decides to retract from the wait list while the guitar is already under construction, the Gypsy Guitar Corporation will refund a reasonable part of the original deposit (depending on if the guitar must now be sold for a lower price). Reasonable part will be viewed as: original deposit minus any losses for the GGC that result from the cancellation, minus up to an additional 20% for the work involved. The size of the refund amount is at the sole discretion of the GGC.
• The Gypsy Guitar Corporation reserves the right to alter any of the above terms, at its sole discretion, on a case-to-case basis.
• The GGC will be reasonable, but the final decision on any refunds will be made by the GGC and is binding. If you are unwilling to accept this rule, please do not send a deposit.

We plan the work, and buy wood and parts, based on the number of orders and deposits. The above is a ‘worst-case-scenario’: we want to work with the customer as much as possible. But no one can expect us to do all the work, ordering, correspondence, and then accept cancellations without any compensation.
